Benefits Counseling
What is Benefits Planning?

Benefits planning is essential for anyone receiving federal benefits (like Social Security) or Colorado state benefits (such as housing assistance, SNAP/food card, or Medicaid waiver programs).
One of the first questions individuals and their support teams often ask when considering work is:
“Will I lose my benefits? Will they be reduced?”

A Benefits Analysis helps answer these questions. This is a customized written report that explains how your current and potential benefits may change if you start working, earn more money, or increase your hours.

How It Works
-
Authorization
A Benefits Analysis can be funded through DVR or Medicaid Waiver Plans, or paid privately. We’ll walk you through the steps to secure authorization.
-
Interview & Information Gathering
We meet with you to collect details about your current benefits and any you may be eligible for. We also learn about your personal goals—work, life, and income.
-
Analysis & Report
We review your situation and create a written report tailored to you. This report explains how your benefits may be impacted by different work scenarios, giving you the knowledge to make informed decisions.

Why It Matters
Your personalized Benefits Analysis may reveal:
You qualify for certain Social Security benefits you haven’t applied for—or missed appealing a wrong decision.
You’re receiving less than expected because important information wasn’t reported.
You’re being overpaid and may need to repay Social Security (planning ahead prevents surprises).
Medicaid isn’t just for low-income—it also includes special Waiver programs for people with physical or mental disabilities.

A Living Document
Your Benefits Analysis is a valuable tool you can use year after year. To stay accurate, it should be updated annually or whenever benefits or laws change.

As professionals certified by both Social Security and Medicaid, we provide the expertise and guidance you need to maximize your benefits and confidently plan your future.
Our motto: Plan your life by planning your work. You make the decisions—we provide the information you need to make them wisely.
Self Employment
We will ask you these questions
Do you feel having your own business is a route you want to explore?
Do you have your own funds or any promises from anyone for funding start up costs?
Do you have a special interest or hobby or knowledge that can be translated into a business?

Do you need suggestions as to what type of business might be successful and right for you?
Do you have specific income goals for your business?
If you’re interested in self-employment, we can be a strong partner for your journey. With many years of experience, we understand the unique challenges and opportunities in this area.

→ Please Note: We do not research or provide financing for your business.
